The Myth about Oden

Oden was the greatest of all the gods that lived in "Asgård". All the other gods regarded him as their father. He had more names than any man could recall as so many were the good deeds by which the people gave him names.
Oden travelled extensively among humans, by foot as an old, one-eyed man and other times on a horse, the eight footed "Sleipner". He led the great wars in which mighty Kings and Conquerors battled for power and kingsdoms. He decided who was to reign and who was to reside in "Valhall".
Oden was very wise and profound. He could compose and read runes and possessed good knowledge of the ancient times.
Oden had but one eye. It is said that he gave the other away to Mimer and in return, Oden was allowed to drink out of his spring of wisdom. Mimers spring was by the roots of "Yggdrasil". ("Yggdrasil", the world tree in Norse mythology. The roots of Yggdrasil reached into the underground and it´s branches supported the heavens.)
Oden had two ravens, Hugin and Munin. At the break of dawn, they flew all over the world in search of information that they relayed back to Oden at noon.
A dwarf once had a mission, set by "Loke" to forge two gifts to Oden, the spear "Gugner" and the ring "Draupner". It is said that every ninth night, eight rings dripped off from "Draupner", all of which were of the same size as the original.
